School is right around the corner
In about a week we will hear buses roaring through the neighborhoods, pencils being sharpened, and homework that needs to be completed. It's the homework part we seem to worry about. As tutors, we know the importance of homework. Without this, students would be partially lost. It is important to us that homework is completed on a daily basis. Although the child may not fully understand the concept, that is what we are here to do.

Summer Assignments
Don't you just love it when your child comes home with a stack of summer assignments? Having these assignments discourages excessive laziness that a child may develop during the summer. Not only does it keep them in the constant jive of working hard but it also helps them not to forget concepts that were taught to them while in school. More and more schools are requiring summer assignments to be completed as a grade on the first day of school. Although kids may naturally complain about it, all the information learning in the previous years will be attached throughout the summer and onto the new school year. Tutoring during the summer will also make a huge difference. If no summer assignment is given, more and more parents are turning to tutoring services to teach their children the new concepts of the upcoming school grade. Reading and math tutors are always at hand looking for children to tutor. After all, teachers are out of school as well and can always use an extra review of teaching methods. All in all, summer assignments and tutoring is just a win win situation for all groups in the education pool.
